Un des meilleurs concurrents au concours multiple de l\u2019\u00e9quipe canadienne, Gafuik a obtenu son billet pour les Jeux olympiques \u00e0 la suite de sa performance \u00e0 la barre fixe aux Championnats canadiens de 2012. Gafuik a remport\u00e9 deux m\u00e9dailles aux Jeux de 2011 de la FISU, une de bronze au concours multiple et une m\u00e9daille d\u2019argent au saut de cheval.<\/p>\n<p>Il s\u2019est class\u00e9 au 17e rang aux Jeux olympiques de 2008 \u00e0 Beijing, ce qui repr\u00e9sentait le deuxi\u00e8me meilleur r\u00e9sultat canadien de tous les temps au concours complet.
