Le\u00a0Canada a connu une excellente premi\u00e8re journ\u00e9e aux Jeux du Commonwealth \u00e0 Glasgow en r\u00e9coltant l’or et le bronze en natation ainsi qu’une m\u00e9daille d’argent au triathlon\u00a0chez les femmes.<\/h1>\n

Ryan Cochrane<\/a> d\u00e9fend son titre<\/h2>\n

Apr\u00e8s avoir remport\u00e9 cette m\u00eame m\u00e9daille\u00a0aux Jeux du Commonwealth en Inde en 2010, Ryan Cochrane a renouvel\u00e9 son exploit \u00e0 Glasgow\u00a0au 400 m style libre\u00a0en effectuant\u00a0un temps de 3 minutes et 43,46 secondes.\u00a0L’athl\u00e8te de 25 ans\u00a0a devanc\u00e9 l’Australien David McKeon de 0,63 seconde ainsi que James Guy du Royaume-Uni. Il \u00e9tablit ainsi un nouveau record canadien et un meilleur temps personnel.<\/p>\n

Le\u00a0Canadien d\u00e9fendra\u00a0son autre titre obtenu il y a quatre ans\u00a0au 1500 m, l’\u00e9preuve\u00a0dans laquelle il a obtenu ses\u00a0deux m\u00e9dailles olympiques en 2008\u00a0et 2012.<\/p>\n

L’argent pour Kirsten Sweetland<\/h2>\n

Un peu plus t\u00f4t jeudi, Kirsten Sweetland a donn\u00e9 au Canada sa toute premi\u00e8re m\u00e9daille\u00a0des Jeux du Commonwealth 2014.<\/p>\n

L\u2019athl\u00e8te de 25 ans est mont\u00e9e sur la deuxi\u00e8me marche du podium au\u00a0Strathclyde Country Park de Glasgow apr\u00e8s avoir parcouru\u00a01500\u00a0m \u00e0 la nage, 40\u00a0km \u00e0 v\u00e9lo et 10\u00a0km \u00e0 la course dans un temps de 1 heure 59 minutes 1 seconde.<\/p>\n
