Henderson and Sharp tee off Wednesday at Olympic golf tournament
Canada’s Brooke Henderson is set to tee off at Rio 2016 on Wednesday.
The International Golf Federation announced the tee times and groupings for the first two rounds of the Olympic women’s golf tournament on Monday. 60 competitors will be looking to win the first gold medal in women’s golf since the United States’ Margaret Atwood did so at Paris 1900.
Henderson enters the Games as the third ranked women’s golfer in the world behind No. 1 Lydia Ko of New Zealand and No. 2 Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand.
The 18-year-old is scheduled to make her Olympic debut at 8:14 a.m. (ET) on Wednesday at Rio’s Olympic Golf Course. Henderson is in a grouping with Lexi Thompson of the United States – who is ranked fourth in the world – and Suzann Pettersen of Norway.
