Rio 2016 Day 12: Results and fan reactions
Day 12 of the Rio2016 Olympic Games begins the wrestling events, the conclusion of team jumping and the continuation of De Grasse’s Olympic journey. Fans and athletes have taken to social media to support #TeamCanada
After a gold in high jump by Derek Drouin, Team Canada is looking to deliver on day 12.
Athletics
Andre De Grasse places second in his 200m semifinal heat and will be moving to the final tomorrow.
Phylicia George competed in the 100m hurdles and placed 8th.
Melissa Bishop won her heat during the 800m and automatically advances to the semifinals.
Damian Warner has finished the 100m in the decathlon and finished top of the pack with 10.30.
Diving
Both Meaghan Benfeito and Roseline Filion are through to the semifinals in 10m platform diving.
Golf
Volleyball – CAN vs Russia quarterfinals
Canada has falen to Russia in straight sets.
Wrestling
Dori Yeats lost the bronze medal match and have finished fifth.
Team Jumping
Canada lost a jump against Germany for the bronze medal and will place fourth.
