Two silver medals for Katie Vincent at the Canoe Sprint World Cup in Paris
Katie Vincent closed out the ICF Canoe Sprint World Cup with another medal.
She raced to a silver medal in the C-1 200m at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium, which will host the Paris 2024 canoe-kayak sprint events.
She finished with a time of 45.84 seconds, 0.23 seconds off of first. China’s Wenjun Lin took home gold, while Chile’s Maria Mailliard finished with the bronze.
This comes a day after winning a silver with Sloan MacKenzie in the women’s C-2 500m, an event in which Canadians Sophia Jensen and Julia Lilley Osende also reached the podium, taking third place.
Vincent and MacKenzie finished with a time of 1:57.01 to earn silver.
This event comes a few days after the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, where Vincent collected three medals.

Other notable Canadian results include Connor Fitzpatrick‘s fourth place in the Men’s C-1 1000m and Michelle Russell‘s fifth place in the Women’s K-1 500m final.
