TORONTO (July 11, 2024) – With just a few weeks to go until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is pleased to announce a series of free, family-friendly events across the country for fans to cheer on Team Canada during the Games.

Team Canada FanFest, presented in partnership with the Home of Team Canada, Cadillac Fairview, aims to bring fans together to cheer on Team Canada athletes and to celebrate sport in Canada. Team Canada FanFest will take place over three weekends in three cities across the country, including:

  • July 26-29: Calgary, Stephen Avenue Walk at Centre Street
  • August 2-5: Toronto, CF Shops at Don Mills
  • August 9-11: Montreal, La Cour Gare Windsor

“We are thrilled to be launching the first-ever Team Canada FanFest for Paris 2024,” said Jacqueline Ryan, Chief Brand and Commercial Officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee and CEO of the Canadian Olympic Foundation. “Sport, and the Olympic Games in particular, has the unique power to bring communities together. We’re so excited to bring the excitement of Paris back to Canada, and to create spaces for families to create unforgettable memories while cheering on Team Canada!”

Team Canada FanFest will offer Olympic fans the opportunity to watch the Games with family and friends, Olympic athlete appearances, and live performances featuring Canadian music artists. Fans will also be able to experience Olympic sports, and engage with a roster of exciting and immersive Team Canada partner activations.

Team Canada FanFest will be hosted live by two-time Olympic champion Catriona Le May Doan, alongside Olympians Gilmore Junio (Calgary), Cynthia Appiah (Toronto), and Maxime Dufour-Lapointe (Montreal).

“I cannot wait to be part of Team Canada FanFest this summer, and bring the excitement of the Olympic Games home,” said Catriona Le May Doan, two-time Olympic champion in speed skating and host of Team Canada FanFest. “It’s going to be a magical experience cheering on Team Canada together!”

“As you know, Olympic Games are very dear to my heart. Through the years, I had the opportunity to take part in several Games in different capacities,” added Maxime Dufour-Lapointe. ”I am very happy to participate in the Paris Olympics festivities organized by the Canadian Olympic Committee as co-host of the Montreal FanFest along with Catriona Le May Doan! It’s a great opportunity for Montrealers to experience the Olympic frenzy, encourage and meet with our Olympians!”
