Photos: Team Canada marches into the Rio 2016 Opening Ceremony

Friday, August 5, 2016 — RIO DE JANEIRO  — On Friday evening, flag bearer Rosie MacLennan lead Team Canada into the Opening Ceremony of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The team is made up of 314 athletes (186 women; 128 men) from 37 sports.

Rosie MacLennan on being the flagbearer for Canada:

“I am beyond excited. The moment you get the flag, it just all becomes so real. This pretty much tops it off. I thought my dreams came true in London but this is beyond my wildest dreams.”
