Statement Regarding the Appointment of the Commissioner to Lead the Future of Sport in Canada Commission
TORONTO (May 9, 2024) – On Thursday the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) issued the following statement:
“The Canadian Olympic Committee welcomes the appointment of former Chief Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice, Lise Maisonneuve, as the Commissioner to lead the Future of Sport in Canada Commission and the appointment of Noni Classen and Dr. Andrew Pipe as special advisors.
The COC fully supports the Future of Sport Commission’s mandate and looks forward to participating in the work to build a safer and more inclusive sport system.”
