Update regarding Keyara Wardley and Charity Williams

TOKYO (July 30, 2021) – The Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) issued the following statement regarding the injuries sustained by Keyara Wardley and Charity Williams during their match against Fiji on Thursday, July 29:

Williams has been cleared to play and will be in the lineup on Friday against France. Wardley sustained a hip injury and unfortunately is unable to continue in the tournament. She is being monitored closely by Team Canada’s medical staff led by Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Mike Wilkinson.
