Biography

Alyxandria Treasure had a breakthrough year in 2014 when she finished second at the NCAA Outdoor Championships and won the first of her back-to-back Canadian high jump titles with a personal best of 1.89m. She also won gold at the NACAC U23 meet. In 2015 she competed at the Pan Am Games in Toronto, finishing seventh for Canada’s top placement in the women’s high jump. On May 7, 2016 she increased her personal best to 1.93m to exactly meet the event’s Olympic entry standard for Rio 2016. In her Olympic debut, she advanced to the high jump final in Rio. Treasure previously represented Canada at the 2009 IAAF World Youth Championships and the 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships.
