Brad Martin

Brad Martin is one of Canada’s best and most experienced halfpipe snowboarders, having competed at three Olympic Winter Games and five editions of the FIS World Championships.

Martin captured the bronze medal at the 2007 World Championships, making him one of just three Canadian men to reach the world podium in halfpipe. Martin made his World Cup debut in December 2003 in Whistler. Two years later he earned his first World Cup podium at the same venue. He claimed his first World Cup victory in February 2008.

Getting into the Sport: Was on snow for the first time at 16 months old on skis… Switched to snowboard at age eight… His dad and his brother were skateboarding and snowboarding and it looked like fun… Odds and Ends: Will always remember the roar of the crowd when he dropped into the pipe at Vancouver 2010… Loves the opportunity to be shown the best kept secret spots for great snowboarding by locals when he travels… Enjoys dirtbiking, surfing and hanging out at the beach in the off-season…
