Cassie Lee

Biography

Cassie Lee will make her Olympic debut at Paris 2024 after being a fixture on the Canadian senior national team since making her senior debut in 2021. She was a member of the 2022 Commonwealth Games team that captured team bronze and the 2023 Pan American Games team that also captured team bronze, contributing high scores on her specialties — balance beam and floor exercise. She also competed at both the 2021 and 2023 FIG World Championships.

Lee claimed her first senior Elite Canada all-around title in 2024 after also winning gold on floor and taking silver on beam. She finished second in the all-around at the 2023 competition while taking silver on floor and also finished second in the all-around at the 2022 Elite Canada with gold medals on balance beam and floor.
At the first-ever FIG Junior World Championships in 2019, Lee was Canada’s top-finisher in the women’s all-around, finishing 22nd overall.

Getting into the Sport: Started gymnastics at age 3 and began competing at age 9… Outside Interests: Enjoys reading books, watching new TV shows and movies… Announced her commitment to attend the University of Iowa in 2024… Plans to pursue a career in dentristy like her mother… Odds and Ends: Inspired by teammate Ellie Black for her dedication to the sport and her calmness when she competes… Likes to listen to Taylor Swift while getting ready for a competition… Always travels with a polaroid camera… Likes to make and give bracelets to her Canadian teammates and international friends.
