Biography
- Helped Canada qualify a full men’s artistic gymnastics team for Paris 2024; the team finished fourth in qualification and seventh in the final at the 2023 FIG World Championships
- Pommel horse specialist
- Competed at his first FIG World Championships in 2021
- Won team bronze and pommel horse silver at the 2022 Pan American Championships
- Won team silver and pommel horse bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games
A Little More About Jayson
Getting into the Sport: Started gymnastics at age 4 and began competing at age 6… His parents enrolled him in the sport because he had so much energy… Outside Interests: Studying finance and economics at York University with hopes to attend law school in the future… Odds and Ends: Collects a flag from every place he visits and hangs them on the wall alongside his medals… Favourite motto: “Competing is not pressure, it is a privilege” (something his coach Zhaohui Hunag always says)…
