Kate Current

Biography

• Finished fifth in the 1500m at the 2023 Canadian Championships after placing fourth in 2022 
• Competed at her first World Athletics Championships in 2023 
• Competed in the mixed relay at the 2023 World Athletics Cross Country Championships 
• Competed collegiately for Western University
• Was the Mustangs Female Athlete of the Year in 2022 and is the school record holder in the 1500m and 3000m after breaking marks that had stood for 37 years; won gold in both events at the 2022 USports Championships  
• Recognized as one of USports Top 8 Academic All-Canadians for her final year at Western where she is pursuing graduate studies in Civil Engineering
