Rob Watson
Biography
Rob Watson recorded his personal best marathon time of 2:13:29 in finishing sixth at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in October 2013. Remarkably, that was his fourth marathon of the year, after finishing 11th at the Boston Marathon, winning the Canadian marathon national title, and competing in his first world championship marathon in Moscow, where he finished 20th. Watson finished second at the 2014 Canadian Marathon Championships. He began his running career on the track as a steeplechaser, making the final at the 2007 NCAA Championships while attending Colorado State University. After competing at the 2009 IAAF World Championships, he decided to move up to the marathon and entered his first one in Houston in 2011.
