Biography
Defenceman Stefan Elliott made his Olympic debut at PyeongChang 2018 where he helped Canada win the bronze medal. In the leadup to PyeongChang 2018, Elliott played for Team Canada at the Channel One Cup and Tournament of Nikolai Puchkov in 2017. He’s played 84 NHL games for the Colorado Avalanche (2011-15), Arizona Coyotes (2015-16), and Nashville Predators (2015-16). After spending the 2016-17 season with Ak-Bars Kazan of the KHL, he joined HV71 Jonkoping of the Swedish Hockey League in 2017-18. Elliott played his junior hockey with the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL. In 2010-11 he won the Bill Hunter Trophy as the league’s top defenceman. He was selected in the second round, 49th overall, by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
