Biography
- Set a Pan Am Games record of 240.5 to win 10m air pistol gold at Santiago 2023, which qualified an Olympic quota spot in the event for Canada for Paris 2024
- Made his ISSF World Cup debut in 2014 while representing Türkiye
- Earned two top-10 World Cup results in 2017 in the 10m air pistol
- Competed at four editions of the European Championships
A Little More About Tugrul
Getting into the Sport: Started shooting competitively in 2003 while in high school… Outside Interests: Is a composer who writes music for games and videos; also teaches music and piano… Would like to compose music for films… Had been a doctoral student at Istanbul University’s Composition Department before moving to Canada in September 2017… Odds and Ends: Favourite motto: Never give up. One day surely.
