Biography

Victoria RezVictoria Reznik got her first taste of international multi-sport competition at the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in 2010 where she and twin sister Anjelika were members of the group that won the bronze medal. She then watched as Anjelika competed at the 2011 Pan Am Games and the 2012 Olympic Games. Victoria made her FIG World Championship debut in 2014 after competing at the Pan American Championships. With their top-five finish at the Pan Am Championships, the group officially qualified for TORONTO 2015. Their 21st place finish at the 2014 World Championships ensured that they would compete at the 2015 World Championships which is the first qualification event for the 2016 Olympic Games.

PERSONAL

Family: Andrey and Yana Reznik… Twin sister Anjelika is also on the Pan Am Games team… Younger brothers Albert and Arthur… Lived in Kazakhstan for two years before moving to Israel; lived there eight years before moving to Canada… Getting into the Sport: Started rhythmic gymnastics at age 10… Her mother had been on the Kazakh national team in rhythmic gymnastics and her grandparents did artistic gymnastics… Outside Interests: Enjoys cosmology, politics, travelling, roller blading, skiing and skating… Has completed two years of politics and governance studies at Ryerson University… Odds and Ends: Nickname: Vica… Always meditates and repeats a Russian saying before going onto the competition carpet… Collects candy during her travels… Favourite motto: Do what YOU want, people will judge you either way…

Pan American Games: 2015 – 5th (all-around), BRONZE (5 ribbons), BRONZE (3 clubs + 2 hoops);
