Fantastic Four nabs silver at Rowing Worlds
Canada’s first medal at the 2013 World Rowing Championships comes from the women’s four capturing silver in Chungju, Korea.
The United States won gold with 6:43.15 and Australia took bronze in 6:49.26 over the 2000m distance.
“It felt amazing. After our preliminary race we felt we had some work to do, we did exactly that,” said Mastracci, 2012 Olympic silver medallist in the women’s eight. “This is a lot of motivation for our eight race.”
All four will look to earn Canada another medal this Sunday in the women’s eight when they combine with Susanne Grainger, Carolyn Ganes, Lisa Roman, Rosie DeBoef, and coxswain Kristen Kit.
