Kylie Masse wins second straight 100m backstroke title at the FINA Worlds
Kylie Masse won the women’s 100m backstroke title on Tuesday, successfully defending her title with a time of 58.60 seconds.
She finished ahead of Australian Minna Atherton (58.85s) and Olivia Smoliga of the United States (58.91s)
Masse is the second woman to successfully defend her 100m backstroke world title. Ulrike Richter first accomplished the feat at the 1975 World Aquatic Championships.

Teammate Taylor Ruck finished in fourth place with a time of 58.96 seconds.
