Biography
Getting to know…
- While in Athens after his 2004 Olympic races, Hurd accidentally cut himself on glass, sliced an artery, tore a ligament and damaged a nerve in his hand, requiring surgery and therapy
 - Discovered he was allergic to chlorine, among many other household items, after suffering from chronic fatigue during and after training
 - Engineering student at the University of Michigan
 - His father swam for Queen’s University
