Biography

Cassandre Prosper made her debut with the senior national team at the 2023 FIBA Women’s AmeriCup, helping Canada to the bronze medal. That fall, she helped Canada advance from the Pre-Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Paris 2024. 

Prosper first competed internationally for Canada at the 2021 FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship where she was the tournament’s leading scorer and was named to the All-Star Five as Canada won silver. In 2022, she competed at the FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup and led Canada in scoring as the team finished fourth. Prosper joined Team Canada for the 2023 FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup where they won the bronze medal. 

Prosper competes collegiately for Notre Dame University. In her sophomore year in 2023-24, the Fighting Irish won the ACC Tournament. 

A Little More About Cassandre

Getting into the Sport: Also played soccer, tennis, volleyball and ran track as a child before starting to focus on basketball as her main sport when she was 12… Her mother and father both played basketball at Concordia University… Outside Interests: Intends to major in business and psychology at Notre Dame…
