Biography
Gillian Ferrari made her Olympic debut at Turin 2006 where she and Team Canada took home the gold medal. Over the course of her national team career, Ferrari appeared in 83 games wearing the Canada jersey and recorded one goal and 17 assists.
A member of the national women’s program since 2000, Ferrari retired in 2011. In between, she appeared in four IIHF World Championships, winning gold in 2004 and 2007 to go with silver medals in 2008 and 2009. Ferrari also competed for the Under-22 national women’s team from 1998 to 2001.
Ferrari played in the NWHL for eight seasons from 1998 to 2006 and appeared in 215 games, recording 123 points. She played in the WWHL until 2009.
Ferrari was inducted to the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 2012 with her teammates from the Turin 2006 Olympic hockey team.
