• Opened his 2019 season with a 5th place finish at the US Open Championships, followed by a bronze medal at the Puerto Rico Open
• Won bronze at the 2017 Commonwealth Taekwondo Championships
• Competed as a youth at the 2012 World Championships

Getting into the Sport: Started taekwondo lessons at age 5 to learn discipline… Began competing at age 8… Outside Interests: Head sparring coach at Pulse Academy, a taekwondo training school in Toronto… Odds and Ends: Collects shot glasses and fridge magnets from countries he travels to for competitions… His family moved to Canada from the Philippines in 2002…
