Ryan Boland
Biography
Ryan Boland is one of several players who joined the national team in 2011. He went 5-for-8 (.625 batting average) to help Canada win gold at the 2012 Pan American Championship and followed that up by hitting .333 at the 2013 ISF Men’s World Championship. He had a homerun and five runs batted in at each of those two major events. Boland began playing softball with the Goulds Minor Softball Association before joining 3 Cheers Pub for five Canadian Championships (2010-14), winning three gold, one silver and one bronze. He was named tournament all-star at catcher in four of those five years.
