Kaitlyn Williams
Biography
Kaitlyn Williams has earned more than 135 senior caps since making her national team debut in 2011. Later that year she was part of the Canadian team that just missed the podium at the Pan Am Games in Guadalajara. In 2013 she helped Canada win bronze at the Pan American Cup and then competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Williams started all six of Canada’s games at the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, recording three shutouts during the tournament and helping Canada to a bronze medal. At the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, she allowed only one goal in her four games played, helping Canada to a fifth-place finish. While playing for the University of Victoria, Williams won the 2007 Joyce Slipp Award as CIS Rookie of the Year for women’s field hockey. She was then part of the Vikes national title run in 2008. In 2011 she was named Canada West Goalkeeper of the year.
