Biography
- Represented Team Canada at the Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games, placing sixth in the 63kg weight class
- Finished fifth in the 86kg event in his first appearance at the Pan American Games at Lima 2019
- Won 86kg bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games after placing fifth in 2018
- Came back from ACL surgery to win a wrestle-off at the national trials in February 2021; did so after tearing his labrum just a week prior, which required further surgery; was unable to qualify an Olympic spot for Tokyo 2020
- Won 86kg silver at the 2023 Pan American Championships, his second career senior medal at the continental championships
- Won 86kg bronze at the 2018 World University Championships
- Won back-to-back Pan American titles in the junior 74kg (2016) and junior 84kg (2017) categories
- Named Men’s Outstanding Wrestler at the 2019 U Sports National Championships after winning the 90kg individual title
- Won 54kg bronze at the 2013 Canada Games

Getting into the Sport: Took up the sport at age 11 because his father is a wrestling coach… Was inspired to compete for Canada while watching Gia Sissaouri win gold at the 2001 World Championships…Outside Interests: Earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University… Works in the financial services field…
