- Competed in surfing’s Pan Am Games debut at Lima 2019; finished tied for ninth in men’s shortboard
- Placed seventh in men’s shortboard at the 2023 ISA World Surfing Games after being eliminated in the 11th of 12 repechage rounds
- Won silver at the 2023 PASA Pan American Surf Games
- Has competed in the World Surf League since 2014; won the US Open of Surfing Pro Junior category in 2017
- Placed third at the WSL World Junior Championship in 2016
- Won a bronze while competing for Hawaii at the 2017 ISA World Junior Surfing Championships
- Competed in his first senior level championships at the 2018 Pan Am Surf Games, placing 19th in the open category to clinch a spot on Canada’s 2019 Pan Am Games team
A Little More About Cody
Getting into the Sport: Was first on a surfboard at 10 months old… Began competing in surfing at age 9… Loves to surf because he finds it challenging, yet therapeutic… Outside Interests: Enjoys golfing, hydrofoiling and skateboarding during his time off… Volunteers as an ambassador with Surfers Healing, a charity that takes children with autism and their families to the beach to experience surfing… Odds and Ends: Buys a snow globe in every new country he competes to add to his mom’s collection… Once had his sponsor funding cut and had to do landscaping and carpentry to pay the bills, which only made him a hungrier competitor…
